Fashion Revolution is a global campaign that aims to raise awareness for ethical and responsible clothing and fashion making. As we know, fast fashion workers on under developed countries are being badly paid in order to make clothing we wear everyday. A community of designers, business leaders, activists, and teachers is building this gathering platform to discuss these fashion issues, make a change in the world and have a real impact in our society too: “Fashion Revolution is a global movement in 71 countries. We have created a worldwide platform which we can all use to ask questions, raise standards and set an industry-wide example of what better looks like.
We don’t know the true cost of the things we buy. The fashion industry supply chain is fractured and producers have become faceless. This is costing lives. All over the world, people are suffering and our environment is at risk as a result of our fashion supply chain. On Fashion Revolution Day, 24 April, brands and retailers will be challenged to take responsibility for the individuals and communities on which their business depends.
By taking an selfie with the label showing (wear an item of clothing insideout for added impact) posting it on social media and asking the brand Who Made My Clothes? you can show support for greater transparency throughout the fashion supply chain. The more people who ask #whomademyclothes, the more brands will listen.”
All products in Dialetu’s selection are made in those standards. Join the Fashion Revolution with us. Buy with care! #FashRev
